Dr Andrew Hallam
After completing basic training in Medicine in Brisbane in 1986, I spent two years as a trainee in Gastroenterology at Queen Mary's University Hospital. I returned to Brisbane as an Academic fellow in Liver Disease at RBWH and then completed a further year at The PA Hospital as Senior Registrar before joining the University Medical Unit as a junior consultant there for a further four years. I finally saw the light and moved permanently North of the river in 1996 and have worked at Redcliffe Hospital and RBWH as a general gastroenterologist/hepatologist/interventional endoscopist ever since.
I remain actively involved in teaching and supervising students and trainee Gastroenterologists.
